About TCO, Tornado Connections Online
by Teddy Tornado

This is the last screen containing old schema content, and the first major screen of the new schema. The topic of the page will be about the TCO web site.  Ron, is giving me a few moments to say what I want.  I haven't told you enough, so wait for more.  Thanks, "Teddy". (2002)

Here a break or line image is used as an alignment link image.
What is TCO?
Headings are commonly used to align the content on the page to that position.
The Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association's printed Tornado Connections  newsletter is mailed to members of the Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association. TCO is a website that is provide on the Internet.  The function of TCO is to inform and promote involvement and membership in TCAA.

TCO had been on the Web for over two years (since September, 1999) before when Ron Reed, a near TC '53 grad and our original webmaster, began support on his PASSCo server after a number of years of asking why there was no website and offering to webmaster one.

TCAA eventually obtained its own place on the Internet (in Feburary, 2002), and resided on a Seneca county ISP's server.  Friendlynet.com provided our free presence as a sponsor, and we have a lot to be thankful for their support .

Ron just revised the site. He had a few leftover portions of the old schema of things, so he is giving me a chance to tell you about "TCO".

Addendum, August 2008:

In 2004, TCAA secured its current domain, tc-alumni.org, after a non-renewal of its original domain tc-alumni.com.  In 2007, the original host, Friendlynet.com (Bascom), when out of business and hosting was commercially secured from ICDsoft.com.

How to site is presented?
Additional images may be used as "alignment images". Each is titled' separately.
Simply, I hope.  Ron is not one to place constraints of the TCO viewers.  There are no "frame", no "flash", and no "underscored" links.  The "home page" has a classic menu column on the left of the screen, and a right column that is used as TCO's dynamic portion ot the site.  Ron tells me he thinks a screen full of underscored text is not very appealling.  Most linkages are obvious, and those that aren't, are indicated by color, or a new attribute that can be assigned to link or image. The HTML "title" attribute provides a small "bubble of text" that describes the link or image.

Authoring this site

The TCAA web site is "scratch built" with the most useful utility we have ever found. It is a plain text editor. Perfect for making notes in files on the computer, and saved like other files.

If you don't like Word Processors, this is perfect for you. It is nothing more than an emulation of a typewrite. Ron assured me, if you use it once, you will used it almost everyday.

Ron and I never won a spelling bee. I can't type and Ron never learned to not watch the keyboard. So, you can help along with this site. Thanks! --Teddy
