Why do we see the above banners on most TCAA pages?  It is very simple!
After a number of years of asking TCAA why they did not have TCAA web site, they finally allowed your web master to create one.

For a web site to be seen, it has to have a location on an Internet server.
Initially your web master used his own server called passco.com.

It appeared that TCAA should purchase and maintain a domain for their own location in the Internet.  To purchase a domain is easy, but it has to be placed on a server.  The minimum cost to operate a server could easily be $4000 per month. So, there had to be someone having a server that would host the TCAA domain.

So, having a number of public Internet Service Providers (ISP) in the Tiffin area , your web master e-mailed the obvious one ... "Just friendly are you?".

The reply was "Very Friendly!".  Thus, friendlynet.com had freely provided the hosting from 2002 until in July, 2007 when their ISP went out of business.  Thus,

TCAA appreciates the community service "freely" provided by Friendlynet.com for a number of years.

Currently, TCAA had secured paid hosting from ICDsoft.com.

If you need a web site including hosting, investigate the above ISP. If you wish to secure a domain from ICDsoft, your Webmaster can secure the initial (first year) domain and hosting at a 35% discount.
(Important Notice)   If you are looking for an available domain, DO NOT USE THE DESIRED DOMAIN NAME IN GODADDY.COM (OR OTHER ISP SERVICES) for information about domain availability.
Also, even e-mails with the domain name mentioned in the E-mail can be read. Yahoo, and many of the "portals" that provide a search feature have access to your @Yahoo.com E-mail and those persons that sent you @Yahoo.com E-mail.

This happend 20 minute after I uploaded the first TCCA site in 2003.
The TCAA site was "hit", and a grad in Florida sent a @yahoo.com E-mail to me.
She used Yahoo Search with keywords "Tiffin Columbian Reunions".

They do this (because it passes through their servers) to seek domain information (checking domains in their database) to place in their search information data bases.
The rational is simple... an ISP service may purchase the domain from your inquiry. Remember they are paid for hits they then display in search results. They will purchase the domain for $5, then try to sell it to you for $5000.

IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME.

If the domain you wish is "MyFlowers.Com", seek the the domain "MyFlowers.BIZ", as the results will provide the availability information of the desired domain.
