Sunday, May 7, 2007 - A Year of Change? Apparently not for some!
"I'm Fine!" Was my answer". - Revisited!
A year ago today ('2006) someone wanted to know if I was "OK".
Well, I said "Yes and No". Wednesday is my seventy-second birthday.
A little over year ago I was informed that nobody wanted to know what I wanted to say,
and to effectively "shut-up". So, I did!
That was likely correct! Likely, I had said enough! Possibly enough! Hopefully enough!
America has a very big decision to make
soon about this "slippery slope" that some of us still don't know we are on.
From some early form of education, probably from my parents (TC '25, TC '33),
I understand there is an organ between the ones we use to hear.
Some only use it as an audio spounge ....... squeeze it. Even it if hurts.
I will say it once again. If you vote on the basis of being told how,
or on one or two your special interests or "beliefs" --- then please don't.
Collectively, those that do are called "conservatives".
You don't have to be a "liberal", just think! -- Ron

Tueday, October 11, 2006 -- Tax Cuts and our new 50% Deficit Reduction
What is the cost of "our fabulous economy"?
How much do you, your children, and grandchilden have to pay for our great economic growth and job increases ?
How is our adminstration going to help us pay for this fact of "fiscal fancy" ?
I think I have heard this comical phrase somewhere before,
"I will gladly pay you Wednesday for a hamburger on Tuesday."
Might a "new" administration have to raise taxes ? Stupid question !
Might we ask our "social conservatives" to tell us the right thing to do ?
Oh! I just figured it out. This is "Monoply Money" ! We can print more !
Remember! We were told they would put our $$$ back in our pockets!
Might our "reduction of taxes absession" result in the above graphic ?

Thursday, July 6, 2006 -
Welcome an "old" Page Master (with a small "o") !
The page mastering of the TCAA Class Pages for the
Classes 1955 thru 1960 is being assigned to Sarj Bloom, Class of '57. Sarj has been providing
an additional class page for most of these classes for a few years.
Recently, his class sites have exceed the content of the TCAA sites, thus
there is no rational for your webmaster to author these class pages.
Thus, the graduates of the Classes 1955 thru 1960,
should in relation to the web site, contact Sarj for class related
changes and content. --- Ron

Sunday, May 7, 2006 - Reply to an "Are you Ok?" e-mail received last week!
"I'm Fine!" was the answer. But, maybe not!
Someone wanted to know if I was "OK".
Well, yes and no.
Tuesday is my seventy-first birthday.
I will be starting two classes at my newest interest here in
Harrisburg, in Cabarrus county, North Carolina just north of Charlotte near the
Lowe's Speedway.
I guess I have just lost interest in this site as others have recently.
For many months the tone
of the site had been on more about "national" concerns than Columbian news.
Seemed logical to me, I haven't lived in Tiffin for fifty-five years.
Seems a lot of the "mid-west" in this "mid-western boy" is still there ...
it could be that the "mid-west" has changed.
Since leaving Tiffin I've lived in 7 states
( CA, FL, IL, VA, NJ, MS and now NC ),
been in all 50 states except the two to which
you can't drive (there's no reason to drive to ND),
been educated in 10 academic institutions and taught in 6 colleges,
have had 23 professional positions,
been a consultant to 14 firms, 38 years of computer experience, etc.
I appear to be getting dummer and dummer each day at home
and elsewhere, but there is one
thing I know to be the truth .... this government is not my kind of government,
and the only solution I can see is to throw the "bums" out ..... and the only way that
can happen is to start at all of our "hometowns" in America.
And, finally, if you vote on the basis of being told how,
or on one or two special interests or "beliefs" --- then please don't.
Collectively, those that do are called "conservatives".
You don't have to be a "liberal", just think!
BTW - If you want this to be your site, y'all are going to have to make it so.

Friday, April 7, 2006 - Your webmaster is making a request of each class.
Online Class Reps for each Class are NEEDED soon.
The fact that many classes have had no TC-Online Class Representive to assist in the
communication between the Class and the Webmaster ,
has caused some difficulties in the recent week.
The TCO Class Rep performs a Class-Webmaster interface function.
It is not a TCAA position; it is an individually accepted or class position.
TCAA does define a "TCAA Class Contact" in the Newsletter, who provides
an interface between the TCAA Organization and each Class.
These contacts provide your class with a local Tiffin area
phone number for communications, and many may not have an Internet access
and an e-mail address, or wish to accept the Online Class Representative function.
In addition, the Board of Directors are actively seeking another Webmaster,
and his or her interface with
each class could be assisted with someone within each class to help with that transission.
There are functions that the TCAA staff need not have to perform for a class to
compose a class page, help in the processing "Member Enrollment" forms, changes of addresses, etc.
It is not TCAA's responsibility to verify elements provided within the enrollment form.
Even as your current
Webmaster, I can not verify the accuracy of some enrollee's requests for Class Membership.
Thus, as your current webmaster, an
Online Class Rep for each class will be NEEDED soon.

Thursday, January 12, 2006 - Have you changed your addresses lately?
Keep your addresses up-to-date, else it costs TCAA
The reason that changes of address are so important is that the newsletters
(but not the renewal notices) are sent out with "Return Service Requested".
This means that if a newsletter is not deliverable as addressed the Post
Office will send it back to the Tiffin Post Office with a current address
attached to it. But, heretofore, it costs TCAA 60¢ to retrieve each of these
newsletters from the Post Office.
While this does yield a valid address for
the individual it costs approximately 4 times as much as it does to initially
send the newsletter. Also, with the "Return Service Requested" the Post
Office will not forward the newsletters because they were bulk mailed in the beginning.
