Frederick E. "Gene" Gillig, 63, of Tiffin, died February 3, 2009, at St.
Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. On August 19, 1945, he was born to Eugene J. "Chick" and Miriam (Dawson) Gillig in Tiffin. On August 3, 1974, he married Ann Martin in Van Wert.
Gene was a 1963 graduate of Columbian High School and attended Bowling Green State University. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, the church council, a chairman of the stewardship committee; past president of the Tiffin Jaycees and former member of the Tiffin Elk Lodge 94.
