I (your webmaster) have eight grandchildren; ages 14 years to 8 months.  Maybe you are not seventy years old and have no grandchildren, but many of you may have young children.
    I have checked for domain names for each of my grandchildren.  All eight domains ( "firstnamelastname".com for my grandsons and  "firstnamemiddlename".com for my granddaughters ) are free to purchase.
    So, I am purchasing them as a possible "life-long" gift.  A purchased domain for a 10 year period would cost less than 2 cents per day.  The purchase of a domain does not require hosting (and thus access on the Internet).  The domain is said to be in a "parked domain" status.  Hosting for the domain can be done when the time is appropriate.
