Welcome to your "Tiffin Columbian Online" Alumni Site
The Official TCAA web site above has returned - Please make an effort to support the TCAA.
This is not the TCS nor the TCAA site.    It's your TCO Alumni Site
Is there an actual functional public web cam in Seneca County?

Over 40 hits are made a month on your
TCO site.   If you don't see any change,
then you need to make an effort to
contribute something.  It's your web site.
"Views from the Right" from our TC Grads
If it needs to be said ...
        it needs to be read.
Entry content apparently reflects those of the contributors..

Note:   If you expect day-to-day changes,
then day-to-day contributions are needed.
Just your Class Enrollment would do that.

Viewing the TCO Alumni site and your
Class page  will not be sufficient  to the
class page retention.  Participation does!

Have you figured out
how to stay on top?
Since the "Change",  I get the conservative cartoons as in both prior administrations.
So, if the conservative grads continue, then beware of their contributions to the site!
It is hard for this "Tiffin Kid", to believe TC could have contributed to these attitudes!

TICK .... TICK .... TICK .... TICK .... TICK .... TICK ....
Those classes having "2010 Class Reunions" may be purged due to lack of interest after their reunions.
The evaluation will be based on having an OCR, and added enrollment of classmates for their reunions.

From  Where  Our  TCO  Alumni  Have  Come !

Might you look differently about paying taxes from your Unemployment Office?

Notice: John Stoner just informed me that the Class Creator sites may have become billable at roughly $9/month.
I have yet to confirm that it is a site for profit situation.
You might wish to see if our classes will continue to pay for a class site.
I just purged the '64 site, and Lisa ('85) askes me to maintain the TCO '85 site for while.
Seems odd that someone would provide class sites FREE expect for my stupidity, when the cost comes out of my pocket, and I am not even a Columbian graduate. - Ron

Followup:
Ron,  No, the current classes were all grandfathered in at no cost.
It is only new classes that are signing up that will have to pay the freight. - John Stoner

The "Blue and Gold" Alumni News
"Keeping Our Alumni Spirit Alive ...Today and Every Day"
All eighty TC0 Alumni Class sites have a new generic format.
At the top and bottom of each class site is a menu.  There is a need, and a request made for an Online Class Representative if the class does not already have a volunteer.  There is an "class enrollment" section.  There are links to TCAA;  sections for photos and communication specifically related to each class.  Each site presents alumni communications so that you need not surf for alumni communications.  You don't have to be an Internet site designer since your OCR and this Webmaster can maintain each site.  And, it is FREE .  Interfacing is all done with e-mails from all classmates.  Enroll now. - - - - Ron Reed  October 28, 2008

TCAA's quoted Alumni support warrants Class Changes
Though TCAA's statement of alumni support need not be provided,  the Tiffin Columbian Alumni Class Sites warrant change.  Numerous classes have and are selecting third party environments to provide their Alumni Class communication and support.  These efforts, now taking place, have been the efforts of this webmaster in light of TCAA's current and prior web site envolvement.  The Class of 1957 and Class of 1959 have made a their change... Go look!

This is a fantastic `New Feature` tcnewsletter.gif for the New TCAA web site.  Assuming TCAA membership will still mean that current newsletters will be mailed and initally available to only currrent members.  John Stoner, TC `57, is again the one we need to thank for this insight for more use of the TCAA web site.  Thanks John.  October 4, 2008

   TCAA Provides Classmate Data
TCAA now provides some graduate data in their tcaabuttonc1.jpg link for each Class.
This support for the alumni provides some generic classmate information.
Graduate and their spouse names, their TCAA membership status, and more is now available.  This effort is the work of John Stoner, '57, the TCAA database manager.
Please contact TCAA regarding their database information.  Thanks John.  September 29

Registered Tiffin Columbian Classmates

In the late 90's I gave Classmate.com my email address.  I never joined.  A Venice High classmate found my name.  Our VHS '53 class cooridinator had been looking for me for seven years.  It was then that I began to webmaster the VHS site.  The subsription cost is twice the TCAA dues. I have been sending "Unsubscribe" e-mail from Classmate e-mails for 10 years.... they seem to just ignore the request. -

Your Classmate.com costs might warrant some thought.  All "accessible" classmates must be members. Since, I am "registered" and can't be contacted by "classmates.com" members nor other "reqistered" classmates, one might conclude your membership or registeration could result in the same situation.  Frequently, I compose e-mails to classmates.  After the message is "sent", the verification message reads "Your message was sent! Become a Gold Member so `the addressee` can read your message!"  Thus, I assume my message is not received. -

A note for potential "webbies".  Always be observent!  Having 14 years of webmastering experience,
I learned three unexpected things while placing the inner web page shown within the frame above.
   1) What is the default background of a web page when none is "defined"?
            a) You will have to use a Mozilla browser to find the answer.
            b) You will then have to determine how IE alters that BG.
   2) What mouse function is not functional outside the frame that is possible inside the frame?
   3) Even more unexpected is what the possible inner mouse function provides.
Remember most of what you will learn does not come from teachers, courses and tutorials. - Ron

Attention all Alumni Class Sites their Classmates Enrolled.
The current and potential web sites for each class will be maintained by the current TCAA webmaster, and supported by each class.
What is requested is that the class must have an active Online Class Representative, OCR (new requirement).  This person must have an email address.  They must remain active and committed to being an OCR.  They will act as the Internet contact for their class, and interact with the TCO Webmaster.  It may be best that this person live within the immediate Tiffin area, but would not be required.
Any persons willing to design a web site, only if they wish, for their Class of Columbian High School, and is willing to conform to a limited number of constraints, would you please contact the Webmaster.

TCAA is actively seeking a new webmaster willing to serve on a volunteer basis.
That webmaster can start with a new slate.  There are very little restrictions
as to content.  If qualified and interested, send us an e-mail: TCAA.   ( 9/2/2008 )

Read this New Site Preface, then on to either site!
This page has to end somewhere.

It has taken three months, from July thru September 2008, to get this site where we are today.  Before July 2008, the official TCAA site consisted of additions to the "Main Menu" with timely deletions that were discarded or archived.
Throughout the first six years of the TCAA site, the composition of the web site was "99 and 0.44%" that of our alumni and this webmaster.  What basically caused the creation of the TCAA site above and this site, was the "0.56%" input and involvement from TCAA sources.  ( 10/2/08 ) • Click either banner to turn this page!
